About us:
Aeva’s mission is to bring the next wave of perception to a broad range of applications from automated driving to industrial robotics, consumer electronics, consumer health, security, and beyond. Aeva is transforming autonomy with its groundbreaking sensing and perception technology that integrates all key LiDAR components onto a silicon photonics chip in a compact module. Aeva 4D LiDAR sensors uniquely detect instant velocity in addition to 3D position, allowing autonomous devices like vehicles and robots to make more intelligent and safe decisions.
Role Summary:
As a member of the SoC Verification and Validation team, you will play a key role in the system-level bring up and validation of a new breed of SoC for advanced perception applications utilizing 4-D Lidar.
What you'll do:
- Working closely with Architecture, Design, Verification, and System Software teams to implement platforms, set up validation processes, define system-level test scenarios, and execute them on the Palladium emulator.
- Bringing up an ARM-based SoC and associated peripherals and external interfaces including LPDDR, Ethernet, MIPI, CoreSight Debugger, on the emulator.
- Developing transactors and emulation models in SystemVerilog and C/C++
- Debugging test failures and simulation/emulation discrepancies.
- Developing pre and post-silicon tests from the prototype stage through silicon validation to use in production.
- Driving improvements in flows and utilization using the latest in design verification and emulation technologies.
What you'll have:
- 7+ years of experience in the Design, Verification, and Validation of advanced SOCs.
- 3+ years in emulation for SoC and IP validation.
- Hands-on experience in writing test firmware for ARM-based SoCs, validating them in simulation and emulation, and debugging complex system-level scenarios.
- Experience and a deep understanding of at least one emulation platform such as Cadence Palladium, Mentor Veloce, or Synopsys Zebu.
- Strong scripting/software development skills with Python, C/C++
- Experience debugging system-level Software issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with design, verification, architecture, and management teams.
- Ability to deliver results in a very fast-moving environment.
- Desire to learn a groundbreaking new sensor technology.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of advanced verification techniques (transaction-level self-checking test benches, constrained random testing, UVM, PLI, DPI, etc.)
- Post-silicon bring-up and validation planning and execution experience.
- Experience in firmware development, device drivers, and low-level programming.
- Experience developing diagnostics software.
- ARM processor development experience and knowledge of ARM toolchains.
What's in it for you:
- Be part of a fast-paced and dynamic team
- Very competitive compensation and meaningful equity
- Exceptional benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and more
- Unlimited PTO: We care about results, not punching timecards
