About us:
Aeva is building the next generation of sensing and perception for autonomous vehicles and beyond. With its unique ability to measure instantaneous velocity for each pixel, long-range performance at high resolutions, while being free from LiDAR or sunlight interference, Aeva’s 4D LiDAR is built from the ground up at silicon photonics scale for mass-market applications.

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced engineer to take ownership of calibration processes for Aeva’s novel sensor systems as we scale to mass production.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop methods for calibrating Aeva’s products which meet performance and manufacturing touch time requirements
  • Design fixtures and equipment for calibration processes
  • Prototype calibration methods before deploying to production
  • Supervise integration of calibration procedures into automated test frameworks
  • Iterate continuously on calibration processes to improve performance and reduce time

What you'll have:

  • BS or greater in a relevant field
  • 5+ years’ experience developing methods for calibration of optical sensors
  • Deep understanding of the mathematics of state of the art camera calibration methods
  • Strong programming skills in one or more of Python, C++, or MATLAB
  • Experience with 3-D CAD (Solidworks, etc)
  • Operating system and networking skills including command line tools and LAN troubleshooting

  • Experience working with contract manufacturing partners
  • Experience developing and deploying to production a calibration process for mid to high volume production testing of electro-optical sensor systems

What's in it for you:
