Role Overview:
We are looking for an Algorithms Validation Engineering Manager with experience leading DSP engineers focused on characterization and test of DSP algorithms. You will lead the DSP characterization and test efforts and help with test infrastructure definition, design, development and validation of our core DSP algorithms. 

What you will do:

  • Lead, manage and grow a world-class DSP characterization team of algorithms and test engineers who design, develop & validate DSP algorithms for FMCW Lidars
  • Work with the team to build infrastructure and test plans for automated validation and testing of DSP features in production
  • Work closely with product teams to understand key system level issues and drive the DSP characterization team to dig deep and understand the root cause
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other DSP and software teams to work towards meeting important product requirements

What you have:

  • 3+ years of experience managing a DSP team focused on characterization and testing of DSP algorithms
  • Proven track record of testing and delivering on production quality DSP features
  • Strong background and hands-on experience with test automation development in python
  • Good understanding of HW and system level issues and excellent problem solving skills
  • Willingness to learn, ability to communicate well, and demonstrate healthy drive and energy to understand and solve complex system-level problems


  • Experience with designing, developing and testing signal processing algorithms for lidar or radar systems
  • Knowledge of working principles for radars / lidars
  • Experience with quantitative data analysis and simulation software (Matlab preferred)
  • Experience working on hardware systems to characterize performance
