What you’ll be doing:
- Be responsible for driving different vehicles that are part of the Aeva vehicle fleet
- Be involved with multi-day data collection efforts with the vehicle which might involve driving to other cities / regions within US
- Support sensor mounting, data logging and other associated efforts
- Operate vehicles during customer and investor demonstrations
- Assist with troubleshooting issues with vehicle and sensor setup
What you have:
- Valid drivers license and a clean driving record
- Passion to assist with data collection and characterization campaigns
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb/stand on ladders and maneuver around the vehicle
- Good communication and a can do attitude to assist with time critical and demanding tasks with data collection and characterization
Nice to have:
- Class A commercial drivers license (CDL) to operate heavy vehicles such as trucks
- Experience with visual health checks of autonomous vehicle sensor output
- Familiarity with machine shop tools (drill press, bandsaw, mill, lathe)
- Experience doing your own vehicle maintenance or repair
- Experience with cable routing in an automotive, marine, or server room environment
Salary Range
$70,400—$95,200 a yearSalary pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges are subject to change in the future. Depending on the position offered, equity, bonus, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, pre-tax commuter and health care/dependent care accounts, 401k plan, life and disability benefits, flexible time off, paid parental leave, and 11 paid holidays annually.
